~ Nonoy Alcalde is originally from Bacolod City but now he calls Manila his home,
where he currently works as a freelance musician, painter and craftsman~
~ Nonoys past musical collaborations were mainly with Neo Ethnic Performers like
Grace Nono, Bob Aves, and Riza Regis. He was also a former member of two successful Neo Ethnic
Bands—Pinikpikan and Waling-Waling~
~ He was the founder and leader of Waling-Waling and released
two albums, Dakilang Layunin
(1992) and Earthflight (1998 Awit Awards Nominee for Best Alternative Album) with success~
~ In addition, Nonoy collaborated with the following
musical recordings: Pinikpikans Attas and
Metronomad; Grace Nonos Isang Buhay; Bob Avess Inner Country; and Riza Regiss Crystal Healing ~
~ Nonoy specializes Abstract Expressionism as an Artist and
his Art Work had been variously
exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum in Manila, Tam-awan Village in Baguio,
and Galeri Kamarikutan in Palawan~
